Al’s Hubcaps Employee Robbed Tuesday Night

Male employee robbed after leaving work at Mineola store.

An employee of Al’s Hubcaps in Mineola was robbed of an unknown amount of cash while leaving work Tuesday night.

According to Nassau County Police detectives, the 51-year old male victim,  after leaving his job at Al’s Hubcaps, located at 490 Jericho Turnpike, at 8:35 p.m., was approached by a black male, 5’ 7” tall, 175 pounds wearing a dark hooded shirt as he was getting in his car, which was parked at Beebe Road and Clarrisa Road.

The suspect demanded the bag which the victim was holding and a struggle ensued.

After taking the bag, which contained an undisclosed amount of cash, the thief reportedly threatened use of a gun.

The suspect joined a second unknown male on the corner and both fled on foot northbound on Beebe Road. No injuries were reported.
