Schimel Thanks Mineola High School Alum for Internship

Brooke Salvatore served as intern in assemblywoman's office during spring semester.

Brooke Salvatore, a senior at Seton Hall University, is currently finishing her spring internship for Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel of the 16th Assembly District.

Born in Albertson, Salvatore graduated from before attending Seton Hall to major in Diplomacy and International Relations and minor in both Spanish and Political Science.

Before interning with Assemblywoman Schimel, Salvatore interned in New York City at the Consulate General of Ireland and still works for Peter Andrews in Williston Park as well as the Nassau County Board of Elections.

“In working with Michelle, I have realized that it not just legislation and professional appearances that make up a politician’s daily life,” Salvatore said in a statement. “Michelle has shown me politicians truly have to be passionate about what they do, and that no matter who is against you, never back down from what you believe is right.”

Salvatore will be graduating Seton Hall in May and plans to attend Saint John’s University next year for a Masters degree in Government and Politics.
