Benefit Yard Sale at Garden City Bird Sanctuary/ Tanners Pond Environmental Center

The Tanners Pond Environmental Center/ Garden City Bird Sanctuary sponsored the Benefit Yard Sale in September with thousands of items for sale. There were a variety of antiques, collectibles, designer items, furniture and more that were snapped up at reasonable prices.

The sale featured over 20 families who rented spaces.

Proceeds from the Yard Sale will go to educational programs at the Tanners Pond Environmental Center/ Bird Sanctuary.

Benefit Yard Sale organizers Annette Seltzer, Liz Bailey and Suzie Alvey would like to thank the following TPEC/GCBS volunteers, especially Garden City High School HOPE Club and the GCBS directors who helped. A special thanks goes to Gloria Weinrich for her donation of a beautiful loveseat and two chairs.

Upcoming fall Bird Sanctuary events will be the popular Halloween Fest and Haunted Hikes in October (wear a costume!) and a nature photo show and reception at the Garden City Library Gallery in November.
