Bristal All-Stars Offer Softball Boot Camp to Youngsters as they Provide Instruction in Fundamentals of the Game

Pete Zaccarra, 84 years old, offers tips on batting to six-year-old Christian Scott during a clinic held by The Bristal All-Stars, softball players in their 70s and 80s who play in the Long Island Senior Softball Association and who are sponsored by The Bristal Assisted Living Communities.

The Bristal All-Stars with a cumulative total of 1,408 years of playing the game say they greatly enjoyed teaching the youngsters from the Baldwin Summer Program the fundamentals needed to succeed on the ball field.

“We love this game,” said Zaccarra. “We’ve all been playing the game since we were kids and greatly enjoyed the opportunity to share our expertise and love of the game and to provide these youngsters with a sound foundation in the fundamentals of the game.”
