EAC Network's Child Advocacy Center Receives $10,000 Donation from Robert P. and Marion McBride

(Central Islip, NY) EAC Network received a very charitable $10,000 donation from Robert P. and Marion McBride to support the agency’s Suffolk County Child Advocacy Center at the Pat & Mary Bagnato Place for Kids (CAC) in Central Islip. Robert, a former EAC Network Board Chairman, was one of the main catalysts for the centers opening.

“We are extremely grateful to Robert and Marion McBride for such a generous donation and for their longstanding support of the Child Advocacy Center,” stated Andrea Ramos-Topper, Regional Director of Children’s Services at EAC Network. “We provide quality forensic, medical, and prevention services to child victims of sexual abuse in a gentle and professional manner.” This donation will significantly improve the services the CAC offers by supporting the agency’s Kids 2 Kids Program, aimed to increase self-esteem and begin the healing process of child victims of sexual abuse.

The Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is a nationally-accredited center that provides a child friendly environment where law enforcement, child protective staff, prosecutors, and medical personnel can interview and examine child victims of physical and/or sexual abuse. Home to the Suffolk County Child Abuse Strike Force, this multidisciplinary team works together to ensure that children are protected from further victimization, that perpetrators are prosecuted, and that services to victims are coordinated.
