Mother's Day Tea at CCNS

The annual Mother's Day Tea was very special for the children at the Garden City Community Church Nursery School (CCNS) this May. Children in each class made age-appropriate cards and gifts out of various materials with their creative teachers. The students also decorated their classrooms and prepared a yummy lunch or snack ahead of time.

At the tea the happy children presented their moms with their gifts, sang group songs about moms and read stories together amid the colorful decorations.

"All the classes were excited to have a special day to show their moms how much they love them," said Cathie McCullough, CCNS director.

The excitement from the Mother's Day event and other special activities at CCNS will continue through the spring. In the summer "Community Adventures" will take place in July. All are welcome to register their children who are entering a three or four-year-old program, or kindergarten.
