Annual Winthrop Talent Show Raises Money for Kids
American Idol Robbie Rosen helps raise money for Child Life Program.
’s employees took the stage at Thursday night to showcase their talents and raise money for children at the hospital’s Second Annual Talent Showcase.
Talent Show Committee Chair Shelly Nemoyten created the event to help raise money for the Child Life Program, which helps children in need of special medical care. Proceeds from raffles, refreshments and ticket sales went towards supporting the program.
The committee set the same goal as 2010 of raising at least $10,000 on the night.

2011 American Idol contestant Robbie stepped in as a guest judge, and to perform for the crowd.
Dr. Collin Brathwaite took home top prize for his performance of “It’s Not Easy to Be Me.”
