Cub Scout Pack 311 of Williston Park took up a grass roots collection for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
All donations were brought to the home of one Cub Scout Leader William Carr, who is also a Williston Park Village Trustee.
Every square inch of the inside of the family Suburban, as well as a roof carrier was packed tight with the generous donations of local families, which were then delivered to a drop-off site in Freeport.
The donations will be going to the residents of Long Beach.
With the constraint on driving to Long Beach it was easier to drop off the supplies at the Freeport staging area.
Pack 311 expresses its thanks to the community for their wonderful response.
