Fire Departments Honor Troops for Operation: Wounded Warrior
Mineola and Williston Park fire departments host servicemen from Fort Bragg.
Members of several local fire departments, including Mineola and Williston Park, welcomed soldiers from Ford Bragg, NC to the area last weekend as part of Nassau County Firefighters Operation: Wounded Warrior.
Soldiers Sgt. Richard Wilkey, Sgt. Ritchard Cunningham, Staff Sgt. Robert Cole, Sgt. Steven Casey, 1st Sgt. Anthony Pog and Staff Sgt. Jurry Curry were treated to lunch at as well as a party at the Williston Park Fire Department, a trip to Ground Zero in lower Manhattan and veteran’s appreciation day at the Nassau Coliseum for an Islanders’ game.
