Grab & Go Kids Planner: Museum Fun, Rhymes and Gaming

Families can enjoy a visit the Children's Museum for some messy fun or take a Tae Kwon Do lesson this weekend.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

Where/When: , Saturday and Sunday from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Why Go: Get the kids out of the house during this chilly weekend and let them dive right into the play-doh, goop and shaving cream at the museum. The best part is there is no clean up for the parents- just the staff!

2. FREE TRIAL TAE KWON DO LESSON
Where/When: , beginner and family lessons take place between 4:30-5:15 p.m. on Friday and 11:40 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Saturdays, respectively.
Why Go: It’s a great way to see if you and your children are interested in these artful self defense classes with no obligation.

3. NARUTO GROUP GAMING
Where/When: , Saturday at 2 p.m.
Why Go: Kids can join other fans of the popular anime game while enjoying an afternoon of friendly competition and socialization.
Pricing: Monthly membership is $20 with $4 hourly rentals plus a variety of other perks.

Where/When: Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn, Saturday and Sunday- 12-4:40 p.m.
Why Go: Children have a chance to listen to Robert L. Forbes rhymes while taking in the beautiful illustrations and characters created by Ronald Searle.
Pricing: Adults $5; Children $4; Free for members of the museum.

Where/When: , Friday Feb. 4 at 6:45 p.m.
Why Go: The Mineola Mustangs, who are currently ranked 5-1 in their conference, will take on the Island Trees Bulldogs (3-3) in this exciting Friday night game. Perfect for children and families who love sports or are interested in exposing kids to the athletic world.
