Holocaust Survivor Shares Story with Mineola Students
Auschwitz survivor Irving Roth speaks to students of fight for tolerance against evil.
No. A-10491 used to be the only way Irving Roth was known. Once a prisoner at the Nazi concentration camp of Auschwitz, the 82-year old Holocaust survivor shared his story of struggle with students at this past Wednesday night.
His third speaking engagement of the day, Roth was the main focus of the senior project for Danielle Cohen, a member of the class of 2012.
Cohen, whose own grandfather was also a Holocaust survivor, agreed to work with a legacy project known as the Holocaust Resource Center to keep telling Roth’s story after his passing.
