How Do We Keep Mineola Kids Safe on Halloween?

Share how you safeguard your little monsters on Patch.

Halloween can get pretty scary for kids, and not just in haunted houses. While the "razor blade in an apple" story has been debunked as a myth, Halloween can be dangerous for children.

The Emergency Medical Services Authority sees a spike in calls for children 14 and younger every Halloween, reported KJRH.

EMSA warns parents against allowing children to carve pumpkins without supervision, to watch costumes that could be flammable, to be vigilant of traffic while trick-or-treating, and to check all Halloween candy before consuming.
