Long Island Quilters Donate to Family & Children’s Association Nursery School

Several quilts donated to Mineola-based group.

The Long Island Quilters Society recently donated several quilts for children participating in the Mineola-based Family & Children’s Assocation’s co-op nursery school.

The co-op nursery provides childcare for disadvantaged parents who are in the process of making positive changes in their lives through goal setting, education and employment.

“The smiles on the children’s faces clearly show the joy that the quilts brought to their lives,” Family & Children’s spokesperson Joyce Mullen said in a statement. “We’re very grateful to the members of the Long Island Quilters Society for their hard work and generosity.”

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
