Mineola Fourth of July Show Dazzles Residents
Mineola residents fill Memorial Park for a Nassau Pops concert and fireworks show.
The Village of Mineola kicked off Independence Day weekend last with a free concert followed by a half-hour fireworks display Friday night in .
The event was a family-friendly way to kick off the July 4 weekend celebration as the Nassau Pops Orchestra entertained the 200-plus residents on the park lawn with a variety of classical compositions, ranging from Opera classics for parents to and the merry melodies of the Looney Tunes for youngsters.
Once the sun went down and darkness descended, members of the lit up the sky with a dazzling array of fireworks.
