It may not have been the $355 million ticket (that was sold in Indiana and Washington state), but a person who bought a Mega Millions ticket at the on Jericho Turnpike is still $250,000 richer Wednesday.
The second place ticket was one of 11 sold across New York State and requires the winner get all five regular numbers right. For the big jackpot the Megaball number is also required. According to lottery officials, the numbers on the winning ticket sold in Mineola were chosen by Quick Pick.
The winning numbers from Tuesday night's drawing were: 4, 8, 15, 25, 47 and the Megaball 42.

Only businesses that sell a jackpot ticket receive a payout bonus from the lottery authority. New York Lottery retailers receive a standard 6 percent amount for all other New York Lottery ticket sales.
