Mineola Lions Club Sponsors Helen Keller Event

Mineola organization donates $2,000 to services for the blind.

Supporters and advocates of Helen Keller Services for the Blind gathered on December 12 at the Brooklyn Brewery for a holiday reception.

The Edward Smith Lions Club of Mineola sponsored the event and were on hand to present Helen Keller Services President Tom Edwards with a check for $2,000.

Also in attendance were former Governor David Paterson, State Senator Marty Golden, Assembly Joe Lentol, Assemblyman Felix Ortiz and Marilyn Gelber of the Brooklyn Community Foundation.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
