Mineola Lions Donates $5,000 to Long Island Bombers

Donation to help “beep baseball” team for the blind.

The Edward Smith recently donated $5,000 to the Long Island Bombers, a “Beep Baseball” team for the blind and visually impaired.

The team plays competitive and exhibition games against other visually impairedteams in the metropolitan area.

A major focus of the Lions organization is to assist those with visual impairments, and the Mineola Club is a regular donator to the Guide Dog Foundation, Sight and Sound Foundation and other organizations.
