Mineola Produces $10,000 Mega Millions Winner
Jozival Gomes won in March 23 lottery drawing.
While no one from our area walked away with the big prize in Friday’s , Mineola .
The New York Lottery announced Monday that a Mineola resident had won a significant amount in a recent drawing. Resident Jozival Gomes now has an extra $10,000 in the March 23 drawing. Gomes purchased the ticket at the Lareira Restaurant at 66 E Jericho Tpke in Mineola.
In order to claim the third place prize, Gomes had to match four numbers as well as the Mega Ball. The odds of winning were 1 in 689,065 according to the NY Lottery website.
