VIDEO: Mineola Residents Recognized on 2012 Women’s Roll of Honor
Mineola, Williston Park and Albertson women added to May W. Newburger Women's Roll of Honor.
For the 19th consecutive year in a row the recognized outstanding female residents as part of the May W. Newburger Women’s Roll of Honor. The recipients are well known in their respective communities for their careers as well as volunteerism.
Diane Cohen of Mineola, Rose Marie Farrar of Williston Park, Mary Grassie of Albertson and Yurika Saito Karsz of Mineola were all recognized.
Present at the ceremony at the was Councilman Thomas Dwyer, Councilwoman Viviana Russell, Councilwoman Anna Kaplan, Councilwoman Lee Seeman, Councilwoman Dina DeGiorgio, Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman, Town Clerk Leslie Gross and former North Hempstead Supervisor May Newburger.
