Nicolello Talks Police Precinct Changes with Mineola Republican Club

The currently underway and the privatization of the county bus system were the subjects of a recent visit by , R-New Hyde Park, to the Mineola Republican Club.

Nicolello indicated that the NICE (Nassau Inter-County Express) Bus, the newly commenced private county bus service had received positive reviews from riders after to operate the bus system from the MTA .

He also addressed the recently started police precincts reorganization and how it would to residents.

Nicolello also informed club members about a situation that members of the Democratic minority on the legislature were being accused of to residents who had appealed their tax rates and were owed money as they tried to tie in legislative reapportionment with the rebates.

He had expressed to the club his “deep concern” that the Democratic legislators were attempting to illegally block tax rebates to try and get favorable reapportionment for their party and that the matter had been referred to the county district attorney’s office.

The county had proposed borrowing for the refunds which requires a supermajority of the legislature, including three votes from the Democratic caucus.
