Concerts
Head down to on Friday to see Ten Trip Kinds perform. On Saturday, Marshal Law will provide entertainment. Both groups hit the stage at 9 p.m. and feature a special costume party as part of Halloween. As always, cover charge is free.

Funnyman Lewis Black will be taking the stage at the NYCB Theatre at Westburyon Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. to entertain audiences. Tickets range from $62 to $75. Relax with some smooth jazz sounds from Chris Botti on Sunday at 7 p.m. Prices for tickets start at $29.

“Puss in Boots” makes his debut in a solo film on the big screen starting on Friday. The suave feline from the Shrek series takes viewers on a journey of action and adventure in a fairy tale land.
Set back in the time of William Shakespeare, “Anonymous” examines the possibility of the infamous playwright actually being a fake. This drama stars Vanessa Redgrave, Sebastian Armesto and Rhys Ifans.

Johnny Depp returns to the screen in “The Rum Diary,” which chronicles the life of a journalist in Puerto Rico. This film also stars Aaron Eckhart and Michael Rispoli.

Theater
Hofstra University will put on several showings of the on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the John Cranford Adams Playhouse on the South Campus. Tickets are $15 or $12 for seniors over 65 and matriculated non-Hofstra students with an ID.
Halloween Fun
Prepared to be frightened at the annual this weekend. Ghosts and other creatures will be sure to provide a spooky time for all. The event runs on Friday and Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is $5 per person and all minors must be accompanied by an adult.
will be holding a “Monster Mash Bash” on Saturday starting at 9 p.m. Celebrate Halloween with discounted sheep’s blood and haunted librarian shots, pumpkin ales and a DJ. There will also be prizes for best costume. Hack-Pshorr Oktoberfests will be available for half price from 9 to 11 p.m. for anyone in a costume.
Hour Hours
has a happy hour from Monday through Friday starting 4 and ending at 7 p.m. Check out the $3 mixed drinks, wine and domestic bottled beers, $2.50 Budweiser and Miller, and $2 Hanley’s draft.
