Nightlife in Mineola This Weekend

All the hot spots to check out the weekend of November 11-13 in Mineola.

After a long, hard week at work you deserve some fun. Concerts, contests and entertainment, we’ve got you covered when it comes to nightlife in the village. Let us be your guide to all the fun in town for all the hottest spots to check out this weekend in Mineola. Every Friday, we’ll be running down the hottest spots in Mineola to plan your weekend.

Concerts

 will host a show featuring “One Hit Wonders” on Friday evening. Come back on Saturday night as Power Play hits the stage at the favorite local water hole. All shows begin at 8 p.m. and there is no cover charge.

The NYCB Theatre at Westbury provides another fantastic line up for local residents to enjoy. On Friday evening at 8 p.m., Bret Michaels will be performing in an event called “Unity for Vets.”  Living Legends will hit the stage at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Come back on Sunday to see Todd Rungren’s Utopia at 8 p.m. Check the website for additional ticket information.

in New Hyde Park will hold a “” in honor of Veterans Day on Friday starting at 6:30 p.m. To benefit the Wounded Warriors Project, the event will be six and a half hours of continuous music featuring Soul Doctor Robert Goebel's Musicians For American Veterans In Need Band and Vertical Sunrise. There will be plenty of dancing and fun. Admission is $10.

Theater

Theatre and Dance Department will present “” on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. in the Little Theatre on campus. Tickets are free for college students with a student ID and $9 for others.

Profiling the infamous FBI director, “J. Edgar” examines the life of Hoover in a deep drama. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Naromi Watts, Armie Hammer and Josh Lucas.

For those looking to watch an action/fantasy flick, check out “Immortals.” Following a young man on an epic journey, this film opens on Friday and stars Henry Cavill and Mickey Rourke.

Adam Sandler brings comedy back to the big screen on Friday pulling double duty with his newest film “Jack and Jill.” When Jack’s twin sister comes to visit for the holidays, comedy ensues. Also starring Katie Homes, Al Pacino and David Spade.

Sunday Night Football

Check out the Sunday night football special at newcomer . There will be $3 beer specials and other discounts. Patrons can enjoy free hot dogs while the game is shown on the 11 flat screen TVs in the bar.
