New Year’s Celebrations
Kick off 2012 at Mitch and Toni’s American Bistro in Albertson this Saturday night. Regular menu dinner and seating begins at 5 p.m. and the four-course starts at 9 p.m. The evening will include live entertainment and a champagne toast to ring in the New Year. Tickets for the prix fixe menu are $85. Reservations are required.
Head over to on Saturday evening to party to the rockin’ sounds of The Generators, who will play Beatles songs and some other oldies. From 7:30 to 9 p.m., enjoy some tasty treats from the buffet; with the band hitting the stage at 9 p.m. Prices range from $17.95 to $23.95.
One Mineola’s favorite hangouts, , will be offering up an open bar and buffet deal on New Year’s Eve starting at 10 p.m. and ending at 1 p.m. Admission is $30 per person.
The Mineola Chamber of Commerce will have their 2012 Gala New Year’s Eve Celebration at from 9 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The evening will feature a full dinner, open bar, hor d’oeuvres and more. Additionally, there will be a midnight champagne toast, party accessories, entertainment, and Viennese dessert. Tickets are $99. Click here to register.
The will serve a delicious early bird meal special on New Year’s Eve, with seating at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. for $65. At 9 p.m., the meal will include live tunes from the band “Common Ground”. Tickets for this meal are $80. Both deals include a full dinner, wine or sangria, champagne toast, coffee and dessert. Reservations can be made by calling (516) 742-9797.
The will also be hosting their New Year’s Eve Dinner-Dance on Saturday beginning at 8 p.m. Music will be provided by the New York Showband. Call 516-746-9392 for reservations.
Eleanor Rigby’s will host the Latham Road Band to start off the New Year's party this Friday at 9 p.m. There is no cover charge to see the band perform.
“The Iron Lady” will be opening this Friday, starring Jim Boardbent, Meryl Streep, and Anthony Head. Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher is portrayed by Streep in this drama.
