Concerts

“Where’s Ringo” will be headlining appropriately enough at Friday night at 9 p.m. Meanwhile “The Rockinghams” bring back the 60’s on Saturday night, also taking the stage at 9 p.m.

The will host pop/funk rock cover band “The Chosen Few” on Friday at 9 p.m.

The 70s Soul Jam comes to the NYCB Theater at Westbury on Friday night at 8 p.m., while the Doo Wop Extravaganza takes the stage on Saturday night at 8 p.m.

The pulp comic classic John Carter of Mars gets the big screen treatment in “John Carter,” an origin story where the war-weary veteran is transported to the red planet and thrust into a conflict between the planet’s inhabitants.

Eddie Murphy only has 1,000 words left to speak in “A Thousand Words” where he stars as a fast-talking literary agent whose life is upended after a magic tree limits how much he can speak before he dies.

Elizabeth Olsen stars in “Silent House” as Sarah, a young woman who is sealed inside her family’s lake house with no way out and no contact to the outside. Ominous events begin to unfurl as panic turns to terror.

Happy Hour

 offers up happy hour on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. featuring $3 domestic bottles, wine and mixed drinks, $2.50 for Bud and Bud Light drafts, and $2 for Hanley’s draft. Unwind after a long week with some friends at this Mineola watering hole.

Saturday night at the Black Sheep Ale House will be the Long Island Craft Beer Expo After Party at 9 p.m. There will be a live reggae dub session in addition to the Dogfish Head 120Minute IPA on tap. Oskar Blues Old Chub Scotch Ale will be in cask.
