No. 55 – Give a Gift from the Giving Tree

Help Corpus Christi provide holiday presents for those in need this season.

There is a Christmas tree decorated in the lobby of  in Mineola, but it is slightly different than any ordinary tree.

Instead of ornaments and lights, the tree is adorned with “tags” that represent different stores and items requested by people who cannot afford such gifts to give to their children.

Many of us enjoy helping other people less fortunate during the holiday season. With the help of local residents and volunteers, Corpus Christi is collecting items and “gifts” for underprivileged people who need assistance.

If you wish to help someone in need, it isn’t too late to pick up a “tag” or gift request.

All “tag” requests must be returned by this Sunday, December 18 in order to be fulfilled and distributed for the holidays.
