No. 63 - Volunteer with the Maurer Foundation

It doesn't have to be October to help with breast cancer prevention.

Located right in Mineola, the works to raise awareness to help support the breast cancer cause. While October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness month the organization welcomes community help throughout the year. There is no formal way to get involved, however volunteers are needed most to help prepare for and during events.

Volunteers in grade school up to and including senior citizens can help with tasks including invitation stuffing, taking photos and selling raffle tickets. You can also help out behind the scenes by doing clerical work or projects to filing paperwork and blogging for the website.
