Patch Picks: Outdoor Dining

Appreciate the outdoors while enjoying a meal at one of these restaurants.

Some things you can’t do during the winter – eating outdoors is certainly one of them. One way to take advantage of the beautiful weather is to dine outside – alfresco.

Here are a few suggestions of local restaurants that offer outdoor seating with a nice atmosphere. If you want to play it safe, be smart and call ahead because outdoor seating is limited.

During the summer months, customers have the option of choosing to sit alongside Mineola Boulevard for a taste of Portugal in the suburbs. With only ten tables outside, it is suggested you call ahead.

When the weather gets warmer change things up a bit and sit right on Seventh Street. 7th Street Café has only nine tables outside so call ahead. 

During the summer months, Uncle Bacala’s opens the courtyard dining. Customers are welcome to eat outside, enjoy real Italian food and get the feel like you are in someone's intimate backyard. 

Stare out into Manhasset Bay while eating outside at Louie’s Oyster Grill. During the summer months there is an outdoor deck that overlooks the water and the boats passing by.

La Motta’s is hidden away from the bustling road in Port Washington. During the warmer months enjoy fresh seafood and live music underneath an overhang while eating on the water.
