The continued power outages have forced the cancellation of the Mineola Troop 45 Eagle Scout Ceremony originally scheduled for Friday night.
Troop 45 Scoutmaster Steve Grosskopf submitted the following via e-mail:
Dear Friends,
Due to the effects of the terrible strorm effecting most Long Islanders, The Mineola Troop 45 Eagle Scout Ceremony scheduled for this evening at 7:30 p.m. has been postponed.
We apologize for the latness of this notice, but with no power or phone, communication has been very difficult.
