Sen. Martins Visits ‘Just Kids’ Early Childhood Center

Alternative school offers program for early childhood disabilities.

paid a visit to the Just Kids Early Childhood Learning Center site in Middle Island Friday, learning about the school’s reputed integrated program helping children with disabilities and their families. 

A non-public preschool, ‘Just Kids’ provides comprehensive early intervention programs to young developmentally and non-developmentally disabled children from birth to 5 years of age with centers located in Middle Island, , the William Floyd School District and .

The school functions as an alternate program for parents of young disabled children. They offer educational, developmental, and rehabilitative services and curriculum promoting the social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative development of children.

“Just Kids offers high quality programs and services to children with disabilities that will aid them to be successful in future learning,” Martins said in a statement. “They have displayed the discipline needed to ensure developmental progress and competency among their students providing them with a foundation for future success in society.”
