Winthrop Hospital to Offer Men's Health Overview

Those interested in learning the latest on men's health, take note. On Wednesday at 7 p.m., Winthrop University Hospital is hosting a free seminar, "Men's Health: A Comprehensive Overview at the Mineola Community Center, 155 Washington Avenue in Mineola.

Jeffrey Schiff, MD, the attending physician in the department of urology at Winthrop, will  discuss the latest advances in treatment for issues related to male health,  including Urolift, a new FDA-approved treatment for benign prostatic 
hyperplasia (BPH). 

Aaron Katz, MD, chairman of the department of urology at Winthrop, will discuss multiple treatment options for prostate cancer including active surveillance, minimally invasive surgery,  "Cyberknife Radiosurgery" and more.

Katz is  the host of “Katz’s Corner,” a health talk radio show that broadcasts Sunday morning on WABC 770 AM radio.  He is also the author of "Dr. Katz’s Guide to Prostate Health: From Conventional to Holistic Therapies."
