57th Annual Long Island Chrysanthemum Show

Chrysanthemums -- the Queen of Autumn – will be on display at the 57th Annual Long Island Chrysanthemum Show at Hicks Nurseries in Westbury on Saturday and Sunday, October 22 and 23.

From blazing golden yellows to rich shades of mahogany, when it comes to intense color, nothing in the fall garden can match their showy display and size - many of these blooms will measure up to 11 inches across. Also on display will be chrysanthemum bonsai. No surprise that mums are the most widely grown pot plant in the US.

The show will be open to the public on Saturday October 22, noon until 7 pm and Sunday, Oct 23, from 11 am to 4 pm.  The Awards Ceremony is Sunday, Oct 23 at 3:45 pm, followed by breakdown. Those blooms not reclaimed by their owners will be available for a small donation to the Long Island Chrysanthemum Society.
