As part of Hofstra University's 75th anniversary, the American Chamber Ensemble, co-directed by Naomi Drucker and Blanche Abram, will perform Woman in Darkness composed by Hofstra's Herbert Deutsch to text by Virginia Terris. This work will feature acclaimed soprano Tammy Hensrud, Naomi Drucker, clarinet and Blanche Abram, piano and synthesizer – all are Hofstra Music faculty members. Also on the program is the exciting David Diamond Quintet for flute, piano and string trio featuring the renowned flutist, Pat Spencer who is also a Hofstra Music faculty member. The program also features the Menotti Trio for clarinet, violin and piano; the Dumky Trio by Dvorak; Marilyn Lehman, piano; Eriko Sato, violin; Chris Finckel, cello; and Lois Martin, viola.
