Mayor Scott Strauss and the Board of Trustees have announced that the Village of Mineola will again be adding a fireworks show to its Summer Concert Series Kick- Off Friday, July 1 at .
The annual Summer Concert Series features free outdoor concerts in Memorial Park spotlighting such notable performers as the Nassau Pops Symphony Orchestra. The Nassau Pops are scheduled to appear in Memorial Park this year on July 1 and July 22 at 8 p.m.
An aerial fireworks show will be conducted by Bay Fireworks, one of the nation’s premiere pyrotechnics companies. Bay Fireworks has previously conducted fireworks shows for the Village of Mineola during the Mineola Centennial Celebration and Summer Concert Series.

All residents and their guests are invited to attend the concert and view the fireworks show from Memorial Park. Because there is limited seating in the park, concert patrons are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or picnic blankets.
In the event of inclement weather, the fireworks show will be rescheduled to follow the July 22 concert.
