'Grease' Comes to Landmark on Main Street

Tickets on sale now for upcoming show.

Harbor Musical Theater Company, the musical theater division within Port Washington Play Troupe, will present "Grease" at the Landmark on Main Street’s Jeanne Rimsky Theater July 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28, 2013.

The production features a twist: adult actors (ages 30+) play all the parts as the characters revisit their youth at the 25th reunion of the class of ‘59, performing the original book, music and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey.

"I attended three different high schools in four years, so I remember the angst of wanting to make new friends and feeling the need to fit in," said Kim Kaiman of Great Neck, who plays the show's iconic new girl, Sandy. "I also attended my own high school reunion this past year, although I won't mention how many years it's been! So I'm able to relate to this particular show on so many levels."

"Grease" is Harbor Musical Theater Company’s first production since 1995. The show is directed by Brian E. Long, with musical direction from David Barnett. Caroline Gegan serves as producer.

Rich Jacques, playing the role of Danny Zucko, is the local editor for Patch in Great Neck.

Tickets are $20. All performances are at 8 p.m., with an additional 2 p.m. matinee show on July 21. The matinee will feature a discount ticket price of $10 for seniors and children.
