The X Factor – Fox’s reality competition – isn’t auditioning talent on Long Island until Thursday at the Nassau Coliseum.

Patch has learned that a film crew did a drive through Tuesday of Port Washington where the soon-to-open Soundview Cinemas marquee reads: “Long Island Welcomes The X Factor.”

X Factor crews also shot scenes at the Town Dock in Port Washington Tuesday, a Town of North Hempstead spokesman said.

According to a press release, the first round of open-call auditions will take place on Thursday at the Coliseum, however organizers behind the show began distributing wristbands beginning 8 a.m. Tuesday, and will continue until 11 a.m. Thursday.

Patch will be live at the scene, so check back Thursday for updates.
