Toast ‘n’ Jamz is a cheerful cafe serving home-style breakfast and lunch. Diana Williams, who owns the restaurant with her husband, Doug, worked for 10 years at the very popular Maureen’s Kitchen in Smithtown, and the couple has brought that vibe of good food at reasonable prices to Williston Park.
Toast ‘n’ Jamz – The restaurant is both classy and friendly, with beige walls painted with large murals of sunflowers, roosters and musical notes (Doug plays guitar) and dark wood wainscoting. A side nook is large enough to seat a party of 24.
On the menu are breakfast items such as pancakes, a variety of omelets, croissant French toast and challah French toast (with strawberry cream cheese filling), plus baked oatmeal. Lunch includes sandwiches, quiche, salads, panini and burgers. There are always some delicious home-baked items such as brownies, over-sized apple turnovers, pecan rolls and layer cakes. Three little muffins (perhaps pistachio, lemon poppy and blueberry) are complementary and the waiter is ready to refill the coffee cups when necessary.
