Lula Trattoria Closed for Reported Renovations

Mineola restaurant said to be reopening under a "new concept."

Lula Trattoria, the restaurant located in the North Shore Farms shopping plaza in Mineola, has shut its doors pending a renovation.

Located at 348 East Jericho Turnpike, the restaurant opened in 2012 taking over the space formally occupied by Circa Enoteca. The eatery had also lost its chef Tom Gloster, who departed in July 2012.

A sign posted on the door and several of the front windows of the restaurant stated that the restaurant would be closed due to renovations and would open again in the future with a "new concept." No date for a reopening has been announced.

The entire sign reads:

The restaurant is also co-owned by Roslyn resident Adam Haber, who unsuccessfully made a bid for Nassau County Executive. Attempts to contact Haber for comment were unsuccessful.
