New Stores Ready to Join Roosevelt Field Lineup

Shops to add to mall's offering.

Jewelry with a Spanish influence, American eclectic fashions for men and women, Japanese-based children’s clothing and popular Mexican fare will soon become part of the retail lineup at Roosevelt Field.

The latest additions follow in the footsteps of a banner year of retail activity that welcomed more than a dozen new stores and eateries at Roosevelt Field, owned and operated by Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group (NYSE:SPG).

“The year ahead promises to be another exciting one for Roosevelt Field as we introduce and welcome a number of new retail concepts and food choices to our shoppers while plans for the redevelopment and renovation of the shopping center continue to move forward,” said Maria DiLeo, director of mall marketing for Roosevelt Field.

According to DiLeo, preparations are currently underway for the following four stores to make their debut at Roosevelt Field over the next several months:

Uno de 50 (Main Level, next to Rolex by Tourneau) –originally established in 1990 using a concept of producing only 50 units of each design, this international jewelry retailer has expanded its horizons so that more than 50 people can include a Uno de 50 piece among their favorites, although limited editions of 50 pieces for collectors are still part of the company’s product line. Specializing in fashion forward jewelry and accessories for men and women, including earrings, bracelets necklaces, pendants, pins, rings, watches and other products and related merchandise, Uno de 50 will occupy just under 1,000 square feet of space and is expected to open sometime this spring.

Robert Graham (Upper Level) – Offering the full Robert Graham collection in its 1,100 square foot location, the new store will carry the complete range of men’s sportswear, premium denim furnishings, accessories, outerwear and women’s sportswear. Launched in 2001, Robert Graham was created on the premise of introducing sophisticated, eclectic style to the fashion market as an American-based company with an intention of inspiring a global movement. Robert Graham enjoys a robust and loyal consumer following who collect pieces due to the distinctive design elements and superior craftsmanship. The store is expected to open this summer.

Bit’z Kids (Main Level, between LUSH Handmade Cosmetics & Au Bon Pain) – Offering children’s clothing based on a core value of providing the highest quality at a reasonable price, Bit’z Kids aims to offer safe, comfortable and reliable merchandise with high functionality that can keep up with ever-growing kids. The line also includes cute and funky accessories as well as tableware. Founded in Kobe, Japan in 1998, in just 14 years Bit’z Kids has become that country’s largest baby and children’s clothing company. Bit’z Kids expansion to the U.S. began in 2008 with the opening of its first store in Manhattan’s upper west side, followed by a second NYC location in 2010 at Tribeca. The 1,000 square foot location at Roosevelt Field represents Bit’z Kids third U.S. store and first mall location in the country. It’s planning to open late spring or early summer.

Chipotle Mexican Grill (Main Level, across from Skinny Pizza) – Chipotle opened its first restaurant in 1993 with the idea that food served fast did not have to be a typical fast-food experience. Since then, Chipotle has become known for its focused menu of burritos, tacos, burrito bowls and salads made from fresh, high-quality raw ingredients, prepared using classic cooking methods and served in a distinctive atmosphere at reasonable prices. The popular “fast-casual” eatery will add Roosevelt Field to its more than 1,400 restaurant locations this summer.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing these latest additions to our already impressive blend of retail and restaurant concepts found at Roosevelt Field," DiLeo said. "Our ability to attract and provide a wide selection of stores along with a shopping experience our customers have grown to expect will allow Roosevelt Field to continue to remain one of the nation’s premier shopping and dining destinations.”

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
