April 15: Spring Concert, Meatless Fridays and Baseball

Once again, happy almost-weekend! There’s still a lot to get done before we send you off packing for a well-deserved Saturday, so let’s jump right in. On tap today we have sports, school news and budget information and a springtime concert!

1. As part of their hearing on the 2011-12 school budget, the Mineola school finance committee held a presentation on the driving costs and long term outlook of the district. Check back with Patch !

2. Looking for a bite to eat? Look out for the  coming up later today. Also, with Lent coming to an end, we know you’ve pretty much exhausted your list of restaurants for meatless Fridays, so we’re giving you a helping hand! Check out !

3. The Mineola boys baseball team will finally play their makeup game against Floral Park today at home. First pitch . Not to be outdone, the girls’ softball team  at the same time.

4.  is hosting their spring concert tonight with the band, string orchestra and glee club. The curtain goes up
