April 19: Lacrosse, Music Nights and Irish Dances

Here are some of the events going on around Mineola.

What do you do when it’s only the second day off on Spring break? Get the kids out of the house and onto the ball fields of course! To help get you in the outdoor mindset, we’ve got some sports coverage that we hope you enjoy, but if you’re not into that, there’s a special all-ages dance class at the library we think you should check out.

Here’s what else you need to know:

1. Want to know how the Mineola girls’ softball team did ? How about the latest from the ? We’ve got both game stories coming up later today on the Mineola Patch!

2. The  lacrosse team is test their mettle this afternoon against Fordham Prep at  stadium. Gametime is set for 4:15 p.m., weather permitting.

3. An Irish Dance class is being held at the  from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. featuring master Irish dance teachers Kevin and Joan Westley. Types of dances will include the waltz, céilí, and country dances.

4. Successive weekly music nights were held at the  featuring the choral groups and jazz bands. Check back later today for !
