Feb. 7: School Bond Petition, Moms and Basketball

It’s been a long weekend and we know you were up late watching the Superbowl (so were we). So we’ll make this as easy a Monday as we possibly can. If you’re an early riser, head over to IHOP for the Kiwanis meeting, if not, stay here with us and we’ll fill you in on some of the news from the school board, plus we’ve got action on the hardwood to start your week off right.

Here's what else you need to know:

1. With the happening tomorrow, the Mineola Board of Education denied a petition from 160 residents to be put on the ballot. Stay tuned to the Mineola Patch for the complete story!

2. We’re still looking for moms to join our . Things kick off next Wednesday and we’re still looking for some moms to help contribute to the Patch and speak to other moms about what’s going on around Mineola! Click  for all the details!

3. We’ve got hoops action from this past weekend! Stay tuned to Patch for the game stories between the Mineola Lady Mustangs and Island Trees and the matchup between Chaminade and St. Anthony’s from Saturday!

4. The Mineola Kiwanis Club will hold its  at the IHOP restaurant at the corner of Hillside Avenue and Willis Avenue.
