Jan. 13: Radio Nowhere in the Snow's Aftermath

Here are some of the events going on around Mineola.

As residents are busily digging themselves out of yesterday’s storm, Mineola is returning to a normal schedule Thursday with clearer roads and mass transit back on schedule. We hope that you used the snow day to have some winter fun or just enjoy some time off during your bust schedules.

Here's what else you need to know:

1. Mineola Patch Editor Geoffrey Walter will be appearing as a guest on WNYC’s The Brian Lehrer Show at around 10:30 a.m. to talk about Nassau County’s budget and the county’s with the . WNYC can be found on 820 AM and 93.9 FM.

2. All Mineola schools are open. Please make sure that all sidewalks are clear of snow to allow pedestrians through.

3. The bowling team will take on Holy Trinity in a rematch of the first game of the season, where Holy Trinity came away victorious.

4. The will be hosting a for children age 2 and a half to kindergarten at 4 p.m.

5. The Independent Order of the Odd Fellow Mineola-Hempstead Lodge #125 is holding their  at 236 Willis Ave at 7 p.m.
