March 14: Soccer Gala, Circus Animals and Special Needs

Thanks for checking out the Mineola Patch to start your work week off right! As always, we’ve got a lot of things going on today, with news from the Mineola Portuguese Soccer Club, a chance for the kids to get up close with some animals and an event for those parents who have a special needs child.

Here’s what else you need to know:

1. The Mineola Portuguese Soccer Club held their 75th Anniversary Gala Saturday and Patch was there for the entire event. Stay tuned for !

2. Come out and see the circus animals from Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey cirsus take their ! Kids can get their faces painted and get an up close view of the animals at the beginning at 6 p.m.

3. Are you a parent of a child with special needs? The is hosting a free workshop just for you tonight at 7 p.m.

4. The Mineola Kiwanis Club will hold its  at the IHOP restaurant at the corner of Hillside Avenue and Willis Avenue.
