A portion of the proceeds from this spectacular event will support the Winthrop Cancer Center for Kids, the largest outpatient facility for treating children with cancer and blood disorders in Nassau County.  The Center's skilled and compassionate pediatric oncology and hematology professionals are specially trained to diagnose and treat the entire spectrum of pediatric malignancies and blood diseases.  Embodying principles of patient and family-centered care, they not only provide young patients with comprehensive, sensitive care, they also help families endure some very tough times, offering support, treatment and follow-up care.

A representative from Winthrop's Cancer Center for Kids will give a brief speech on the center during the preview hour, and Garden City's own Bobby Menges will speak on the importance of the Center and share his own personal story.
