County Seat Kiwanis Club to host its annual Pancake Breakfast

For the 23rd Year in a Row, the County Seat Kiwanis Club is proud to host its annual Pancake Breakfast, which is held on the morning of the Super Bowl.  The event presents a wonderful opportunity to shake off those post-holiday “blahs” and beat back any “cabin fever” by sharing good food and good times with your friends and neighbors on what has become America’s most celebrated party day.  And the best part of all is that one hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated by the Kiwanis Club to local deserving charitable causes.

It is through the generosity of many local businessmen, including Steve DiFranco of the Williston Park IHOP, and Manny Carvalho, of Bairrada Restaurant in Mineola, that the Kiwanis Club is able to realize significant profits from this event, all of which are earmarked for those in need.

Pictured are Joel Harris, Russ Burcheri, and Paul May, the Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast Chairmen, expressing appreciation to Manny Carvalho (second from left) who once again (as he does every year) volunteered to contribute over sixty pounds of breakfast sausages for our enjoyment.

The event will take place on Sunday February 3, 2013 from 8 am to noon, at the Mineola Village Hall, 155 Washington Avenue, Mineola (one block south of Jericho Turnpike between Mineola Boulevard and Willis Avenue.)  The very modest cost is $8.00 for adults, $6.00 for seniors, and $4.00 for children – for all you can eat.  In addition, there will be reasonably priced raffle tickets available for purchase and dozens of top shelf raffle prizes awarded throughout the morning.

Mark your calendars for this popular tradition, and bring your appetites and your community spirit.
