45th Annual Clothing Sale - Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club

Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club will host their annual Clothing Sale referred to as the place “Where the Elite Meet for Fashion Bargains” by The New York Times reporter Marcelle Fischler. The 45th Annual Clothing Sale takes place from Friday, April 29 to Thursday, May 5 2011 and is open on weekdays from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 4pm at Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club, 135 Forest Avenue, Locust Valley, NY 11560. Fashionable men and women who enjoy saving money will find great deals on new and gently pre-owned distinctive designer fashions, accessories and home goods from today’s hottest designers. Eveningwear ranges from haute couture to ready-to-wear and there are numerous current fashions, career classics, women’s sportswear, men’s clothes, children’s clothes, accessories and home goods.

For one week Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club gymnasium will be transformed into an elegant designer resale store offering stylish high-end women’s clothing and accessories at prices to please all budgets. Names like Chanel, Armani, Ferragamo are but a few of the well known designer names that are featured among the thousands of wonderful donated fashion items and accessories that attract shoppers who are interested in high fashion. Many other popular labels are also well represented among the large selection of coats, suits, dresses, evening gowns, and sportswear that helps make this charitable sale so extraordinary. In addition to selling clothing and accessories, the Sale offers a treasure trove of new and donated costume jewelry, gift items, belts, hats, accessories, scarves and handbags. The estimated 60 racks of designer clothing offered for the sale is replenished every day with new items, and experienced shoppers know to return to the Club during the Sale to look for more bargains as racks and tables are refilled daily.

The Clothing Sale benefits Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club, a local chapter of the national Boys and Girls Club of America that provides after school and summer programs for children in Locust Valley and the surrounding communities. By providing proven education, recreation and guidance programs in a safe and nurturing environment that many children consider their second home, we help our young participant’s lead happy, healthy and productive lives. Currently, the Club provides services to over 1,700 children annually.

Directions:
LIE to exit 39N – Glen Cove Road. Go approximately 5 miles north on Glen Cove Road to fork, bear left on Rt. 107 N to firehouse. Make right, continue 2.2 miles to the Club on Forest Avenue. Club is on corner of Forest Avenue and Weirs Lane. LIRR: Oyster Bay Line to Locust Valley stop, Club is walking distance from the train station.
