bikeMS: Twin Forks Ride 2010

Registration is now open for the 2010 bikeMS: Twin Forks Ride to be held on September 11 & 12. Cyclists may choose to ride one or two days with routes ranging from 25 to 150 miles.

This incredible journey will begin at the Elks Club in Southampton, NY.  Cyclists will ride on Saturday, September 11th (day one of ride) through Long Island's "wine country" on the beautiful North Fork of Long Island. Don't miss the fantastic lunch stop at historic Horton's Lighthouse overlooking the Long Island Sound plus many other great and fully loaded rest stops along the way.  The journey will end for most cyclists at Camp Quinipet on Shelter Island.

If you are riding one day (Saturday only), transportation will be provided back to the Elks Club in Southampton. The bus will leave at 5 p.m. For those who are riding two days, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Camp Quinipet and a celebration dinner at the Pridwin Inn.  Bikers are advised to bring an overnight bag and toiletries. Linens, blankets, pillows and food will be provided.

On day two of the ride, Sunday, September 12, cyclists will ride to the South Ferry over to Sag Harbor.  Day two's journey is along the South Fork of the Island with breathtaking ocean views and an incredibly scenic lunch stop at Montauk Lighthouse. There are some beautiful rest stops along the way, many with views of the Atlantic Ocean. The day will end at the Elks Club in Southampton with a cheering finish line and an official bikeMS medallion by 4 p.m.

Each cyclists is required to raise a minimum of $250 by September 11, 2010.
