Earth Day Family Fitness Benefit to Provide Emergency Surgery for Children Around the World

Mission Restore (www.missionrestore.org), a not-for-profit which provides reconstructive surgery and surgical training to doctors around the world, is hosting a very special Earth Day celebration and family fitness fundraiser to benefit children and other war victims in desperate need of life-saving surgery, Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Hot Ryde, 55 Lumber Road, Roslyn, NY.

On a day that fosters international partnership and global sustainability, the “Ryde to Restore” ($50 donation/registration) event will enable participants to contribute to Mission Restore through a myriad of physical activities including cycling, yoga, kickboxing, karate, and ballet barre.  The day also includes brunch, live entertainment, a silent auction, raffles and other special prizes.

All proceeds will benefit the global relief efforts of Mission Restore which sends doctors to some of the most dangerous regions of the world to perform emergency reconstructive surgery while training local physicians and medical staff in state-of-the-art burn and wound care.  To register online please go to www.MissionRestore.dojiggy.com.  For further information, contact Carolyn Spector at (917) 544-2100 or Carolyn@missionrestore.org.
