Harvest of Quilts 10th Anniversary Show

On Saturday, November 5 and Sunday, November 6, Evening Star Quilters presents our 10th anniversary Harvest of Quilts show. Hours are Saturday, November 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  This is a judged show of quilts as art. There will be a raffle – first prize is a beautiful queen size quilt made by members; second prize is a brand new sewing machine. Plus quilting demonstrations, a members’ boutique with hand crafted items for sale, and vendors from local and regional quilt shops.

FLAGS OF HONOR – Also on display is special exhibit of ‘Flags of Honor’ comfort quilts which we are making for Operation Wounded Warrior. Our show helps fund supplies for making these comfort quilts. Recipients of the 2,000 or so quilts we’ve donated include Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, Quilts for Kids, the neo-natal units at both Winthrop University Hospital and Nassau University Medical Center, the Veterans Administration Hospital in Northport, Jamaica Hospital, and many local nursing homes.
