The Dinh family of Mineola was out in force at the annual Pumpkin Carving Contest at Hicks Nurseries in Westbury. The three-generation family took away prizes in four categories:
- John Dinh (funniest pumpkin)
- Cam Tam Tran (scariest)
- Cam Linh Dinh (best carved pumpkin)
- Mary Dinh (best decorated)
Also taking part were Catherine Dinh, Theresa Dinh and Victoria Dinh.
This is not the first time that the Mineola family has received awards as Cam Linh took first in the best carved category while John won the title of scariest pumpkin in the 2011 competition.
